About Us
Henry G. and his son Clifford D. Van Orsdel founded Van Orsdel Family Funeral Chapels in Miami in 1924. We are the oldest original South Florida firm and are celebrating our 80th Anniversary in 2004. Currently we are in our third generation of family owned service. We have always strived to be South Florida's premier funeral chapels able to meet the needs of all of this community. We serve all faiths and all nationalities having extensive knowledge of specific needs and customs. We strive to have the utmost in sensitivity to each family and to give attention to every little details to make this difficult time less pressure and stressful. We are dedicated to funeral service as a care giving service rather than a corporate profit endeavor. We have four convenient locations. We have two modern crematories in our central funeral chapel along with a formal chapel. Our president is Donald Van Orsdel, LFD. Our vice presidents are : Carol Van Orsdel-Salgado, LFD and Sue Van Orsdel. Our assistant vice president is Maria E. Van Orsdel, LFD.
Our large experienced satff speaks English, Spanish, French, Creole, German, Italian, and Portugese. We offer everything needed at one location including caskets, burial vaults, cemetery property, grave markers, cremation caskets, cremation urns, cremation memorialization, personalization products, funeral and memorial stationary products and all types of floral arrangements. We are available 24/7 to serve your families needs.
